Effects of Bulk Flow Pulsations on Film Cooling with Two Sister Holes

In a triple-hole system comprising primary hole and two sister holes, when the holes are positioned slightly downstream of main under steady flow conditions, their jets generate an anti-counter-rotating vortex pair. Vortex interactions between increase effectiveness adiabatic film cooling. this study, series large-eddy simulations were conducted to understand how pulsations in affect cooling triple hole. To effects on performance is important for better design gas turbine engines. The numerical carried out flat plate geometry with cylindrical at 35° injection angle. approximately sinusoidal, effect was investigated several frequencies (2, 16, 32 Hz) Strouhal numbers (Sr = 0.1005, 0.8043, 1.6085) average blowing ratio 0.5. results compared those single same amount air cross-sectional area holes.
